A friend of mine who live in Scandinavia have to move out from current school dormitory, so she is looking for a place to live.
She is looking for share house, but some accounts look like scam. So, it is hard to find it.
Then, I asked a friend of mine who live in Spain.
This is her answer.
How to find share house
If you want to find temporary accommodation, there is a very popular service called “Airbnb”.
But, when you contact to owner and they provide Airbnb URL, it must be scam.
Airbnb is allowed short span accommodation a few days at most, it is not permitted long span stay.
If the owners is searching tenant for a long stay, they have to get other type of license.
Actually, there are many scam when you are looking for share house.
It is difficult to distinguish it, because they are very clever.
It is helpful for you to keep in mind that “if they provide Airbnb URL, it must be sam”.
The safest way is when the people who already live in share house are searching share mate.
This case is “Their share mate left the room, so they are searching a new people”.
There is a way to search in your friend who live in school dormitory, but sometimes it is hard to rent the room with short term international student.
Because, the period of contract tends to be from 1 year.
Also, it is complicated to prove your income and bank account balance.
And, some cases, some owners don’t accept the evidence of income from abroad.
A friend of mine from Belgium had a tough time searching flat even though she had a income from her country.
Because some owners consider she has no income.
In addition, there are flat owners instead of one owner for whole apartment.
経緯
北欧に留学中の友人が、近々学校の寮を出なければならないので、次に住む部屋を探していました。
シェアハウスを探してるようですが、詐欺っぽいアカウントが多く、なかなか部屋が決めきれない事を悩んでいるようでした。
そこで、何かいい方法がないか、スペイン在住の友人に聞いてみました。
以下、その内容です。
How to find share house
一時的な宿泊先を探す時、Airbnb というとても有名なサービスが使われる事があります。
しかし、ルームシェアの話を持ち掛けた時、紹介先の住所が Airbnb のリンクだった場合、詐欺確定です。
Airbnb にて提供できるのは、せいぜい数日の短期間の宿泊期間のみで、ルームシェアを目的とした長期の滞在には利用する事ができません。
長期の滞在を目的とする場合、別のライセンスが必要となります。
実は、ルームシェアのルームメイトを探す時、詐欺アカウントは数多くあります。
手口も巧妙化しており、識別は非常に難しいです。
しかし、「物件の紹介をする時、AirbnbのURL が張っていたら、詐欺確定」というのは、１つの判断材料になります。
一番安全な方法は、既にシェアハウスを借りてる人が、「今、部屋空いてるよ！誰か来ない？」と呼びかけている時です。
「ルームメイトが出て行ったため、他のルームメイトを探している」という状況ですね。
学生寮に住んでいる友人同士で探すという方法もありますが、滞在期間が数ヶ月の短期留学生同士で借りるのは難しいケースがあります。
なぜなら、契約期間が１年単位となっている事が多いからです。
また、毎月の収入や、口座の金額を証明しづらいという点が問題となります。
そして、ケースバイケースですが、「海外からの収入は認めない」と考えるオーナーも居るようです。
私の友人は、ベルギーでの収入があるにもかかわらず、「スペインでの収入はゼロ」と判断するオーナーが多く、部屋探しには非常に苦労していました。
また、日本と違い、アパートやマンションの棟にオーナーが居るのではなく、部屋ごとにオーナーが居ます。
