A word that was unfamiliar to the tutor

The other day, When I was talking with online English tutor I used the word “vice versa”.
But the tutor said they don’t use such word.

I remember I found the word in the book like “1200 English words that often appear in TOEIC”
Maybe It was right that I stopped studying for TOEIC.

Yes, vice versa is quite formal word.
I only come across it in research papers and essays.
I think TOEIC is useful if you want to be good in writing a professional material or doing speech, but not so much for everyday conversation.
Having said that, I never took it myself so I can’t say for sure.

オンライン英会話の先生と話す時、「vice versa」という言葉を使ったんだけど、「いや、こんな言葉使わねーよ」って言われた。
確か、「TOEICによく出る英単語1200」みたいな本にも載ってた単語なのに。
TOEICの勉強は、適当に切り上げといて正解だったかもしんない。

But the tutor said we don’t use such as the word.

such〜 でそのような〜という意味になる

I guess I found the word in the book like “1200 English words that often appear in TOEIC”.

guessだと〜なんじゃないか、という不確実性のたかい事に使うのでrememberの方が良い

Maybe It was right that I stopped studying for TOEIC.
collectだと回答が正解というニュアンスなのでrightの方が適切。勉強する事をやめた、という意味なのでstudyingで動名詞にする
