Sometimes difficult

My son loves ‘Jagariko’ and eats them often.
Sometimes he asks my wife or me ‘Open this lid’, so I was wondering why he asks me in spite of the fact that he can open it himself.

Then, my wife said some of them are very difficult to open sometimes.
Oh! I didn’t know.

息子くん、じゃがりこが好きでよく食べてるんだけど、時々、「フタ開けて！」と頼んでくる。
本当はできるはずなのに、わがまま言いにきてるだけかと思いきや、嫁がいうには、異常に開けづらい物が時々あるから、らしい。
そ・・・そうだったのか。。。
