Sometimes, My smartphone had the photos I didn’t know.
I’d been wondering, but the criminal was my son.

I use fingerprint to unlock my smartphone.
But we could start the camera function without unlocking.

Oh. I didn’t know the operation…

スマホに、撮った覚えのない画像や動画がたくさん入ってて、「何故に？」と思っていたが、犯人は息子くん（３歳）だった。

指紋認証のロックかけてるんだけど、ロックを解除しなくてもカメラは起動できるようになってて、それで遊んでたのが原因だった。
その操作、俺も知らんかったぞ・・・。

→ 文法的には、最後に system 付けたほうがいいかな。やや固めの印象。日常的には、I use fingerprint to unlock my smartphone. など推奨

But we could start the camera without unlocking.

→ 厳密には start the camera function など（但し、原文でも通じると思われます）
