Elevator Boy’s Method.

My son(3 years old) likes elevators.
He could smoothly manipulate a elevator that in the building where we first visit.
This elevator’s button text written in KANJI.
But he can’t read KANJI yet.

I didn’t understand how he distinguish between open button and close button.
I realized later.

May be, He distinguished button text color.

"Open" is green color.
"Close" is wrhite color.

エレベータが大好きな息子くん（３歳）。
まだ漢字が読めないはずなのに、始めて来る建物のエレベータで、『開』『閉』のボタンを自在に操作してたんで、
「何で分かるんだ？？」
と思っていたら、多分、色で識別しているんじゃないかと推定。

緑が『開ける』で、
白が『閉じる』だ。

operateは悪くはないですが「導く」というニュアンスが強いので息子くんがエレベーター「操作する」という意味だとちょっと違う気もします。

日本語では「来る」ですが状況としては「行っている」のでここは明らかに誤りです

という事なので、修正。
