Are there many pro-Japanese people in UK?

I was wondering if such an event is recognized only by some subculture lovers in the UK, or also the general publish.

Hi, I remember the poster for this event was up in the tube station sometime ago.
I think it is generally people with interest in anime and Japanese culture who actively go there.
In terms of Japanese culture in the UK, I think the food was quite popular in general and other things like art etc is moderately known.

What kind of Japanese food is major in the UK?

I think Katsu curry was quite popular which is kind of new.
Sushi is sold as a normal ethnic food in supermarkets but it is usually smoked salmon as retailers don’t really deal with fresh fish.
There are many ramen shops in London, although I have never visited personally.
There are many chain restaurants which specialize in Japanese food as well.

Actually, I’m from OKinawa.
There are several Okinawan restaurants in Fukuoka.
They have adapted to the taste of Fukuoka residents.
So, That’s not Okinawan food in some ways.
I wondered if Japanese food in the UK was like that.

I rarely eat out in restaurant and so my knowledge is pretty limited.
When I had the Katsu curry my friend was taking away, it tasted very good.
I heard the chain restaurants do season the food to the taste of British people and it tends to be a bit different.
